Unlike standard personal injury cases such complex claims involving catastrophic injuries normally involve the instruction and interpretation of very complex medical reports from experts in various medical fields. The ability to interpret medical reports in this area is key to obtaining appropriate compensation and care.

The head of our catastrophic claims unit has been dealing with claims of this nature in excess of 25 years and has a wealth of experience. During this time, he together with other members of our personal injury team have built up good relationships with medical practitioners to obtain reports speedily to assist in the recovery process.

Rehabilitation is key in claims of this nature and it is with this in mind that we focus on the rehabilitation code and are proactive in pursuing interim payments not only to assist financially but to assist with rehabilitation.

It is with rehabilitation in mind that our practice set up a specialised unit dealing with catastrophic claims in 2010. Whilst we are well versed in dealing with claims of this nature and indeed have done so for many years it was thought more appropriate to have a specialised unit focusing on such catastrophic claims directly.
